There Are So Many Stars

There are so many stars
And yet not one is the kind of star we dreamed
None is a Heaven
A paradise
A new world waiting for us to find it
None is our promised new home-
Hot and violent and in pressures
Beyond our tolerance
They only say to us,
‘You have only one true home
And that home is not even a star either'
