Why Do We Care So Much?

WHY DO WE CARE SO MUCH? Why do we care so much? Three young people have been kidnapped For most of us They are not immediate family or friends Yet they are us They are part of ‘we as a people'. And we as a people Have suffered so much From Terror and Evil- This kidnapping brings back the memory Of so many other injuries- It hurts to think of what these young people Must be going through- It hurts to think They may be being tortured at this moment- It hurts to think They might already be dead- We care Because they are part of us- We pray to God For their safety and their rescue Their coming home alight.
