Seaside Missing Persons

At the seaside you can now finally relax,
Feels so good to escape the stuffy city.
But slowly circling in the air above you,
Is a greedy eating machine without pity.
Like those pesky buzzards in the desert,
They will spot anything breaking cover.
Swooping viciously down on their target,
A shock from which none ever do recover.
Once one swallowed a small boy whole,
So the sunny seaside horror tale goes.
And a bigger one once ate a sunbather,
On the sandy beach while having a doze.
Whilst another consumed a deckchair,
Clearly the most dumbest of them all.
And he was in a sticky predicament,
When he had to answer nature's call.
They carry off amusement dodgem cars,
Their drivers mere sardines in a can.
And still one came back for seconds,
Gobbling up the pink candy-floss man.
Travelling tourists have gone missing,
Whole families have simply disappeared.
One minute there the next they're gone,
By a high screeching sound most feared
So be warned when visiting the seaside,
Of the hunger circling in azure skies.
Or you will become their next victim,
By the seagulls of gluttonous surprise.
