Good Company

Altın Yaprak
We go out in the streets
In broad daylight,
Strolling along fearless, like peacocks in the wind,
There's glory in the sight-
Some folks gawk
Gasp and stare,
We pay 'em no mind,
We just don't care-
They look at us
Like crazy fools,
We're sure not up-to-date,
And we have no rules-
We come upon a blind beggar
Shaking from cold and fright,
We don't have a coin left to give,
Just love, a blanket, and the return of his sight-
We walk on water
Then turn it all into wine,
We throw wild parties, and
Have a helluva good time-
We invite everyone in
And a few come along,
We all dance,
Laugh and sing our songs-
We're not very pretty
And we're a little dirty too,
We mix country, jazz,
Rock and blues-
We defy class
And won't be put in a box,
But we don't judge
And our hearts have no locks-
We've been told often
Life is going to be rough
Giving away
All of our stuff-
But we're doing fine,
Don't need a bunch of money,
Keeping it together,
Always in good company-
Please don't you judge
Just come on along,
Join in the Dance, and
Help us sing our song-
We can't carry a tune
Or sing in perfect harmony,
But know this my friend,
With us you'll always be in damn good company-
