Inadvertently

. Inadvertently I did not quite log out of Facebook last night. . Inadvertently neither did I quite shut down the computer at all last night. . My churlish computer did not like this And while I slept the sleep of innocence . My computer smirked and locked herself up in every possible way to lock a computer up . In the morning I strolled into my den singing la-di-dah-di-dah over and over again . until I found to my surprise that I had been most unwise . for the computer's blue light was already on and right then and there I knew I'd be doing no shopping on Amazon . I knew Missy Computer being offended of course would be on her version of a computer high horse . again and again I tried every known command I even tried a clever but lesser known demand . and being from the devil spawned she stubbornly kept refusing to respond . my fingers danced frantically over the keys but Miss Computer declined to unfreeze . I finally managed to log off FB using a loophole and I thought I was brilliant and on a roll. . Computer, shut down, I said, feeling like a rock star Computer said, Oh, you want Adobe Reader, here you are. . I said, No, I want you to shut down, you **unprintable epitaphs**. Oh, said Computer, you want to look at your photographs! . No problem here they are! Need I tell you Computer was the only one enjoying her repertoire? . NO, I screamed, I want you to shut down, Shut down, shut down, you miserable clown . Well, why didn't you say so, said Computer with great placidity, and opened Google flagrantly ignoring my acridity. No-no-no, I do not want to oogle Google or read a book about Romanoff or hear your strictures on my pictures, I want you to turn off. . Of course you want to know the latest gossip about the movie stars and the shrew plopped me down to read Twilight memoirs . At that point, I inadvertently gave little Miss Computer a black eye. and booted her right in her motherboard and yelled bye-bye . She must like being roughed up, Miss Bride of Satan so snide she finally shut up and shut down.... or hopefully died. . But my son resuscitated her and voila, here I am, ready to astound and prepared to spread sunshine and other stuff around. . . - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ©2016 susan k williams.
