The Long Lavender Look

. In her eyes did you see the long lavender look of goodbye? Or did you just hear the sound of wet tires whispering farewell to the rain-swept street? Did you ever remember her skin in the intimacy of failing light or were you just a passing connoisseur? Did you become that immune to the delicacy of her love in free fall? Did she ever make you feel breathless during those days and nights behind all your barriers, ballustrades and terraces? Did you not see that moment in her eyes when you had finally set her free? Did you really not know your lamentations were too late since she had already risen from the ashes?
