needle stands an ancient stele
window pierced through time
what words were life written
carved into this face of stone?
upright or fallen stone or slab?
an inscribed sculptured surface?
testament to past lives defining
ancient times lives civilizations
behold beauty tale of carved pictures
behold polish pattern of life highlights
behold rulers officials their Rex rules
behold sculptors who drank life boasts
