There is absolutely no benefit in being repeatedly proven right with a time lag months of delay due to being fed bogus disinformation from the star witness. When all facts constantly fit an original hypothesis a good cross examination in preliminary questioning is key to solving such cases; early. A key witness telling the truth believing disinformation is fatal distracting wild card red herring causing inconvenient lethal time delays.
