Wailing For My Ancestors

Let me go to sleep in the dark
When there is peace in the sky;
And sound has gone to search itself
In the wilderness of thick foliage;
Beyond the smooth surface of diamond stream
Let me dream beyond my thoughts;
Where heart and mind stay stable
And the whistling of conical hills
Reach to the clouds and make the rains;
Where stubborn birds somersault in voids,
To claim their authority over azure sky,
Let me sit on the cold sands and play
With size less pebbles between my fingers;
Till the jealous sea washes away the memories
My ancestors have scribbled down on my palms;
To remember them when I close my eyes
And see their faces in the wrong sides of world;
Let me weep for them; to come down once
And blow the conchs I am playing with
The sea is too careless to push them ashore.
