Blackbird's fascinating
By the way it flies
Hides in a tree and
Sings melodies.
Blackbird's unique
It assimilates all colors
In the pitch black hue
Of its feathers.
Thirteen ways of looking at
Wallace Stevens described
Are just a sample
Umpteen more can be added.
Among all birds
Gathering on a branch
Blackbird stands
Distinct indeed.
Spirituality it represents
Is believed to erase
Man's hovering problems
At its sight.
Move out into the open
Search for the mystic blackbird
Find one if you can
Lucky you are.
