Wool Fish Walter

I knitted once a Wool Fish
In bright and breezy colors,
Orange, red and aubergine,
Pink edging on each fin.
I called it Wool Fish Walter
And served it up for supper
With a wolfish grin.
My Lady stared at it
And nearly spilled her Gin.
"Hey, what's this? " I heard her hiss
"You trying to take the Michael? "
"I know it's fake but so are you, "
I casually explained.
"I thought it rather fishy
When my bank account was drained.
Now I am a pauper
I can't afford the chips
So only Wool Fish Walter
Can pass your cherry lips."
