'Nobody Gives A Damn'

You hear them say that they wish you well…., Some even tell you they hope you’ll succeed…., But I’m not sure if you can tell…., That most times that’s not what they truly mean…., ‘Cause Nobody Gives A Damn what you think…., Not many give a hoot how you feel….., They’re just phonies, who say they care…, So don’t believe ‘em cause the genuine are rare. ‘Seems most only think about themselves…, Sure there’s a few who are sincere…, But most of them are not concerned…, ‘Cause they’ve all got their own cross to bear. And I understand it…., really understand it…, Still I hate to hear them fake kind words…, While secretly wishing that you’ll fail…, Being two faced is for the birds…, Though I wouldn’t say they belong in jail…., They’ll never get far with a hole in their sail. And Nobody Gives A Damn what you think…., Not many give a hoot how you feel….., They’re just phonies, who say they care…, So don’t believe ‘em cause the genuine are rare….., Extremely rare…! ! !
