From the packed bleachers.
There to enjoy
And lend support
To what was once
The most popular sport.
The bases are 'full.'
The tension is high.
The batter at the plate
Breathes a deep sigh.
And then he swings
At the speeding ball,
And sends it flying
Over the wall.
Grand slam! Home run!
The ball is gone!
The batter has brought
His teammates 'home.'
The crowds go crazy;
They yell and scream!
Just fans cheering for
Their winning team.
