If So What Can Be Better

If my life's river be in spate, What would I want better than that? Should someone love still till this date, What can I want still more than that? Someone comes to my life like rain, Bringing a pleasant smell of earth, What more still can I wish to gain? There's li'le in world of greater worth. Darkling clouds have spread all around— In heavens as upon the ground, And someone comes like sun shining, What's better than this silver lining? If I'm about my life to end, And someone comes like long-lost friend On a mission my life to mend, What can be a better helping hand? Amidst poems penned so many, If you choose to read mine, pleased be, Ah what can better be for me?
