Altın Yaprak
An Australian poet
Of the Lebanese-Christian father
And English-Jewish mother
Malouf talks of family photographs
As a gallery of ghosts
In the frame-work of time,
Maiden aunts
With lack-lustre, looking pale,
Journeys with stars,
Mythologies with make-believe tales
To tell.
