Dazzled by the sunlight
we laughed.
“Let’s jump into the sunlight! ”
you smiled.
“Yes, lets! ”
I smiled back.
So, hand in hand we
leapt...
“Splash! ”
said the sunlight
laughing on the water
our laughter
drowned in the splashes
as we swam for shore.
“Well, that was a pretty
dumb thing to do! ”
you shivered.
“Yeah! ”
I shivered too.
“...but, fun! ”
