Her cat
cradled in her lap
her frock
a hammock
she talks to her cat
& the cat talks back.
They both purr
with the pleasure
of each
other.
“What do you talk about? ”
I ask curious to know.
“Oh...you know...
cat things! ”
I leave them
at it.
