Which of your poems
shall I memorize first?
Which poem should I place
near my heart,
so that heart and poem share
the same rhythm, and
both blood and verse serve
the same purpose: To strengthen
my resolve to make Love the center
of my being. Your heart and my poem
will blend over time into one life force.
And all of me - body and soul, heart
and mind, flesh and spirit - will rejoice
as your poems pass by my inner sight.
