Gold is a metal that glints in the sun,
a precious metal that everyone wants some,
but gold can also be more special
when friendship looms on you.
Friendship is something special
and worth more than the metal gold.
For once, it’s wrapped around you,
you will never feel the cold.
It maybe invisible to the touch,
but can still be felt.
For when you are in need,
a friend is always there.
Their words melt the coldness
that comes from despair
and turn your frown
from an upside down smile around.
There is an old saying
that goes just like this,
with one friend you’ll never need
to ever be lonely again.
So when you have a friendship
take care of it with all your might,
for if you let it go
it may disappear out of sight.
