Have you ever felt the betrayal
from a string of broken promises?
You may not say anything,
but distrust breeds within
at any promise others make.
You become always wary
saying to yourself silently
it will never happen again.
It makes you lose trust
in all those around you,
colleagues at work
and even some close friends.
Sadly it is a fact of life,
something we all too often
take as common place,
but it is not
and only a few should be
tarred with that brush.
