Just After Dawn

In the early morning silence just after dawn has broken through I sat alone in silence observing the start of a brand new day. The sky was still dull and grey as the night slowly slipped away and the air was tainted with a slight breeze. On tree birds began to awake with their early morning chatter before the full morning chorus awakens to greet the new day. People begin to stir from slumber to answer their early morning call and with the birds bring life into the new born day. Meanwhile I sit as an observer silently watching all the awakening that is going on around me. The early morning silence will linger for a little while yet, by then everyone will be awake and normal life will carry on. 31 July 2014
