Sometimes we think we failed
when a second love strays.
We ask ourselves
what we did wrong.
Why is this happening to me?
There is not always an answer
to the questions we ask.
We can only run with the flow
and hope we aren’t sucked under
by the undertow.
Some things just have a course in time
from beginning until the end.
We must follow its lead
and never question why.
