As a writer my words are like fingers
stretching out across the universe.
When I write I write with my heart
of the feelings that live within.
The caring, the sharing, the friendship
that comes my way day by day.
The love I have for everyone
good, bad and indifferent.
How my family and faith
keeps me going onward and upward.
So within my words I speak of these
in words from the heartland.
I open myself to everyone
who wishes to hear what I say.
Hate is a word I never use in association of others,
but with love I describe everyone.
