The Little Light

The little light In the soft dark night Up above shining Heaven's starlit skies Below flashing, twinkling Little stars emitting light Looks so bright, as if Stars have descended On the Earth's breast Awhile to rest and light They rise and fall And glide and flit Signalling left or right To wayfarer in night Beautiful creatures Of Nature guiding us Through the dark night By their tiny spark light Wonder struck, I ask Sun and Moon, secrets Of their self-kindling light Dump may be the night But little souls venture out To bright the dark night Luminous bodies circling around Seeing them, children jump Dance, run and for a moment Forget the world around They are fireflies in the night Starring the sky And roaming the ground, Carrying the light in their wings None could find out the secret of light Like can we expound the skies? And for the secret of little light Forever the riddle lies…… Wish I were blessed With the infinite little light So that I could illume the path Be it gloomy or shiny Our path remains ever lighted With the heavenly little light......
