We're The Purple People

We are here to help. We are the purple people. Call us day or night, And we will endeavour to Calmly answer all Your questions. Remember we're Customer service Experts, of that there's no doubt. O we claim to be On some kind of a mission And guided by a Dozen lofty purposes! However, what They mean is a mystery To us. For things tend To be kept well hidden from Curious eyes here. Essentially, I suppose We are the monkeys Who always serve you, because The organ grinder Is never available. Sounds familiar Doesn't it? Well that is just The way of the world These days I guess. We are trained, I'm afraid 'brainwashed' Would be a more precise term, To obey orders. However insidious Or stupid they are. We are the purple people. We are here to help. Your wishes are our commands.
