Sonnet: Better Times Will Come Again

But last, the rain has come torrentially! No more, the summer’s sun can scorch our heads; The campus-life has turned too, cordially; For one more year, we’ll be like newly-weds! For some more time, the snakes won’t harm us men; The jackals will not show their wild nature; The place will be a lion-free a den; The bees can stock more honey for future. And righteous men can hold their heads all high! The evil ones will take a low profile! And corrupt folk will become rather shy; All men can drink river-water, not bile! My God has heard my prayers after all; He’ll hold me tight, not allow me to fall. 8-30-2001
