Always One Worse Off Than You

Nothing in life seems to be going your way And for you it has been another bad day Nothing seems to go right for you no matter what you do But remember there is always one worse off than you Disappointment in life not a stranger to anywhere There are millions doing it tough in the big World out there Financially you may be one who is doing it tough But you are never hungry and you have a home to live in and you never sleep rough And though the praises of poor people so few ever sing Poverty in itself is a relative thing Their friends in the few the sad sacks of the town For so few wish to know of those financially or mentally down You feel you are not being rewarded for the hard work you do But so many are doing it far tougher than you.
