This Not A Surprise

As is said of ignorance to it does not have an age And few ever rise to the status of sage And arrogant people never grow enlightened they only grow old Though fortune can favor the brave and the bold We never stop learning it does seem this way And from life we do learn as we live every day If you can live your life without harming anyone Your mum and dad in you have raised a good daughter or son Enlightenment always a welcome does find And made to feel at home in the open to learning mind Those who think they know it all new knowledge will never receive Suppose we are only on what we do believe Yet the more we do learn the more we realize That we do know so little this not a surprise.
