When You Think Back In Time

When you think back in time to the long gone years Have you ever felt for them you have not shed all of your tears Like you there are many who too feels this way Perhaps part of the ageing process in truth one might say The past as is said in the forever gone But good and bad memories of it in us does live on Each dawn we do wake to one nearer to our last day And our biological clocks ever ticking away We live in an age of commercialism and material greed Of a new form of enlightenment humanity is in need Self love to narcissism one can say quite a different thing Of their own praises many only like to sing Those with a genuine love of self do have love for others to share But sadly their sort as ever seems rare Such people are known to be compassionate and kind And on helping those in need of helping are always willingly inclined Love of self and narcissism are of a different seed Of a new form of enlightenment humanity is in need To say i am different to the majority would be telling a lie Like many i too only live for the i When you think back in time to the long gone years Do you think for the past you have shed all of your tears Our biological clocks ever ticking away And tomorrow will dawn to another new day.
