I never felt bad
or smelt
or sensed danger
I was not in a position to utter
It was so difficult
and took as insult
why was I not able to respond?
and positively correspond
I was adamant
and tried to present
in vain
but simply failed
My inner soul resisted
and insisted
on doing the right things
and bring about turmoil to an end
I had to succumb
and climb
to the ladder of confidence
that was shaken at once
