I got a Christmas card this year
From Chet, who had died months before.
The card wished the normal good cheer.
Then Chet continued writing more.
He asked God if it was okay
To send cards even though now dead.
God pondered, then had this to say,
'Oh, what the heaven, go ahead.'
The postmark on the envelope
Read 'Heaven' and looked authentic.
A postage meter had stamped 'Hope.'
It all looked real and not a trick.
