A Flicker Of Memories

My memories from my childhood are, Just like a silent shining star, That flicker in my mind most days, Those finest years in many ways. The only time I've ever been, My happiest and so it seems, Those days were oh so long ago, Oh how i loved and miss them so. Whenever they come to my mind, Those memories leave a trail behind, That's one of love and happiness, For way back then my life was blessed. A childhood lived, A childhood gone, Oh how the years have wandered on, But with me now, Those memories stay, I wouldn't change them any day. Jayne Louise Davies
