Daylight Saving Time

The story and glory of Wlliam Willett born in England eighteen fifty-one, died here at age fifty nine... One fine day when riding his steed through grassland and meadowsweet an idea suddenly entered his mind ~~~Daylight Saving Time~~~ He campaigned for a Bill on the subject to be passed by the British Parliament and this succeeded without argument. In spring nineteen-sixteen clocks were put 'forward' on a Sunday ~ and the opposite situation every Autumn. William Willett's idea was heaven-sent and we honour his name; a memorial maybe seen at Petts Wood in Kent.
