Mai West said it all
through the annals of time.
We remember her still
'Queen of Vaudeville'
and so very much more!
Mai wrote, and acted
in 'Diamond Lil'...
but this Broadway lady
felt the chill of autumn gales
on a cold November morning.
We expressed deep
sorrow in mourning.
One of Brooklyn's best
Her name was Mai West
And here I make notes
of just three of her quotes
from a list, which is endless:
'So many men, so little time'
'To err is human but it feels divine'
'Why don't you come up and see
me sometime.'
