Dedicated to the wild dandelion:
The hollow stems are slim and tall,
The simple leaves are jagged,
Blooms of gold near the garden wall
'Paintings without a blemish'.
The month is June, a hazy sky.
On hallowed ground I wander,
Violets and dandelions seem so shy
And clouds are weeping up yonder.
I gather the flowers, those lovely souls,
Not for the vitamins or the wine
But just because they are beautiful,
~~ Seek and thou shalt find ~~
Now I admire a sweet colour show,
Gold and indigo, nature's art.
Common weeds! How could they be?
The are flowers that touch the heart.
