Our love was a poetic book
From that 'laureate' day we met.
Your worldly verse enthralled me
And we write together yet.
A stormy day or sunny day
It matters not to me,
If we can share a master's pen
And write sweet poetry.
When hours seem to bring a sigh
And friendly visits are few,
Without a rhyming sonnet of love
I am sad the whole day through.
So come and let us write together
A poem - elegant and new
Words of love may come as a shock
But this is romance from out of the blue.
