Village life, and nature's greenery,
Calmed the soul and cheered the mind
Leaving industrial worries behind.
Writers from a bygone century
Were quite aware of village gentry,
Horse and carriage and old-fashioned ways
The sea and sand on sunny days,
And words of love would always beguile
A breath of springtime for awhile...
