Often he saw her
on a seat at the corner
talking to passers-by;
and one day in the sun
romance had begun for
this youthful and lucky guy.

so prim and neat, that
his dreams and schemes
hit the sky; she was the one,
doubts there were none;
and violins played
a sleepy-time serenade.
