I'Ve Been To The Mountain

I've been to the mountain, And I've looked down. Many times uncertain, Of the cold cruel ground. And standing there, above it all, With my nose up in the sky. Off in the distance I heard a call, One that my ears could not deny. Come down off that mountain, The voice called to me. If your'e still uncertain, Nothing worth anything, can ever be free. Off the mountain like a hermit I came, Down to the cold cruel ground. But now nobody knew my name, And finally I was happy, in my little home town. 10/09/10 Alton Texas
