In a request to be left alone, Is often demanded by one who contradicts. I have made similar comments myself. To only annoy someone, By calling them too much... Until they pretended not to be home. As a child I would say, 'Leave me alone.' Not expecting anyone to believe me. Or have my wish condoned. And when I am successfully left alone, I began to feel quite lonely.
