[Inspired by “Flowers In A Vase” by Bulgarian Poet Alexander Shurbanov (Translated into English by Ludmila G Popova-Wightman) ]. Thanks to renowned reviewer and blogger, Mr. PGR Nair, who posted the poem on Facebook yesterday.]
A bunch of rootless flowers
Stacked pleasingly in a vase
Hiding their pain, all in smiles
Placed on desktop
Just for our comfort
Like the rootless that roam the earth
Paining our sobbing conscience!
Is it not the same ache we have
Deep at the bottom of the heart?
Every human babe - is it not
A flower inside a vase
To pine, pine and pine
Looking at the forlorn star
Rootless on the plane called life?
Bu şiiri puanla
