To The Mountain Breeze

Mountain breeze!
Please pause
To console this aching landscape
At the foot of the hill
Lost in transcendental thrill
We the inhabitants of the plains
Know that you originate
In the skies where the clouds of mortal worries
Don’t navigate
Above where
The head of the great mount resides
Yet, please do come
Sweep our lonely homes
We, the coughing ones
On sinking easy-chairs
Breathe your natural aroma
The smell of the skies
Clouds, mountain herbs
That are renowned
To kill mortal ills
And put our asthmatic psyche
At perpetual ease
Please do come breeze
This is a call from one
Who has seen in you
A constant companion
Fondly stroking the hair
On his vexed forehead
Sweating attire
From kindergarten days
Here in my senility I lie
Unsung, drained of life
Please do come
So we can sing
A carol or a bhajan
To whatever that makes things click
On this barren land of dreams
Please do come mountain breeze
On my knees am I
In supplication
In my dying caravanserai
Of brittle mortal bones
Ebbing senses and feels
On a lonely desert plain
Bu şiiri puanla
Henüz puan verilmemiş
