There is sadness in my heart today I got a call my brother died Oh Lord, how much I’ll miss him For in heaven he now resides Our childhood brought us so close We did everything together From cowboys and Indians to Hopping mud puddles in soppy weather But the favorite game was monopoly We played it both night and day Fighting was also part of the fun But friends we would always stay He’d turn my playhouse into a clubhouse My babies were suddenly big kids Hide n go seek was another game In a small forest nearby is where we hid We made up bed time stories too What exciting imaginations we had Some were quite ingenious And others were not doubt kind of bad We moved at lot in those early years He’d make friends at the bus stop first thing Not me, for I was so shy you see Anguish for me it would bring Years rolled by and by age seventeen He decided he’d go into the Air Force I’ll never forget when he got on the bus I was so lonely for him, of course Good by Rod, I’ll love you forever Say hello to Mom and Dad Someday we’ll all be together again But for now, Lord, I feel so sad! Your little sister...
