The Flowers In My Neighbour's Garden

I come to see the flowers in my neighbour's garden They're so pretty and superficially, beautiful I look and don't know what to say to them, again My cheeks are flushed, from gazing at angels in heaven. And the world is in such a damn silly rush Oh I've gone another day with nothing much to say My neighbour's daughters they're like noisy swallows They'll be migrating on, soon one day. So what does a shy freckled teenage boy do or say Should I have shaved my head and gone Mohican? Just-to-turn their heads should I have waved Gestured I wanted to be more than friends today Soon it'll be winter, and they'll all be, blown away Four ways to the corner of the earth, And I'm sure to be here still looking on -My neighbour's garden, where every flower is gone.
