how much you love them
without all that obligatory stuff today
which they’ll know you’re doing
because everybody else’s doing it, and they
will have to pretend it’s a big deal –
they don’t deserve you.
Ditch them. Today.
If you don’t celebrate your love
every day and not just this one
in some way or other, and
let them know just how much you care,
love, respect, need, thank -
you don’t deserve them.
Start a new relationship with them
today, and every day..
Today. Or else.
