The Building.

The expansive building on the corner
of two city streets has some history.
It used to be a hotel in the past,
where you walked in through automatic doors
To reception, down halls of anticipation
to the friendly rooms on one side:
no room for second-guessing this time,
no need to either after a night's relaxation.
I am in the same building today,
but everything around me is different.
Receptionists are there for the clients
who are consulting mobile phones.
I have to wait, so I ask myself:
'Why are there so many sicknesses and diseases? '
'What negative forcecaused such distress,
in the girl who walked out in tears? '
