If the girl in your life
Should burst into tears,
Don't feel helpless.
She might not even want
To tell you what it's about.
She just needs
A safe place to cry.
So, hold her, be strong,
And say nothing.
If she wants your advice,
She will ask.
And if she speaks,
You've only to listen.
Otherwise, it's enough
Just to be there.
All she needs
Is to know that you care.
