The Wind And The Rain

The wind and the rain
Seem never to end.
One brief day of sunshine,
Then, they're back again.
With bone-chilling cold,
And skies grey as steel.
You long for the warmth
Of the sun to feel.
Like a train in a tunnel,
The howling wind roars.
It rattles the windows,
And pounds at the doors.
The rain paints the plants
Much greener than green.
It must be the greenest green
I've ever seen.
