An Inanimate Object

An Apple it fell not far from a tree And there it was lying in front of me, An inanimate object which I then did embrace So, I ate it as it was meant to be my place. A dandelion was also there lying in my path I picked and I held it against Mother Nature's wrath, An inanimate object which was God's grace Then I blew away its petals, and I gave it chase. A rock was lying upon the ground So, I picked it up as though lost property I had found, An inanimate object again saw my disgrace I then threw it in a pond after seeing my face. A gun it was resting there in the field I picked it up and then I killed, An inanimate object then became my base It is as though my soul had controlled and willed my race. Randy L. McClave
