Fear Comes

Fear comes from weakness And not from child birth, Yet we are the most heavily armed individuals On the entire planet earth. We are terrified of our neighbors We are frightened of all strangers, Whenever we leave our padlocked homes We prepare ourselves for all dangers. We are scared to drive on the highways And we are worried to go to stores, We are afraid to send our children to school As we believe there might be wars. We over simplified our life into guns We don't think in terms of creative solutions, Tomorrow will be a terrible frightening day As we think of attacks and revolutions. We enter our churches always packing Then we worship and we pray, We give thanks for our family and protection Then we give an, "Amen" to the NRA. We don't want you to fight us with words And we don't want to fight you with fists, Because, we would then cower or runaway or hide We daily thank our leaders that guns exists. We call ourselves brave Americans While flying the flag of red, white and blue, We are the citizens who carry a gun Because, we are truly scared and frightened, of you. Randy L. McClave
